By year 1947, my father and my mother moved into House Schönegg with me – Andrea. Step by step, House Schönegg was converted into Hotel Schönegg with 22 rooms (6 of those single rooms).
In year 1972 my father has built the House Mondial (now the Hotel Alpenroyal). Back then, House Mondial only consisted of apartments that were being rented out. I took over the House Mondial in 1985 and decided one year later, to turn the House Mondial into a hotel with a swimming pool.
In 2012, one of my daughters, Stefanie, took over the "Hotel Alpenroyal".
We offer free pick up service from the train station Zermatt to the hotel and back between 08.00am and 07.00pm. Please give us a phone call as soon as you arrived at Zermatt train station on +41 27 966 60 66.
Our car is in the color "blue" and it is written "Hotel Alpenroyal" on it.
If you should arrive after 07:00pm we please you to take a public taxi from the train station Zermatt to the Hotel (at your own charge). You can find public taxis all the time at the train station (24 hours).
Once you are our guest, you will have access to the private lift. This will enable you to reach all important places (such as the bus stop and main street) in just a few minutes by foot.
The private lift should only be used for transporting persons only and may not be used with luggage.
Yes, if you should arrive before 03:00pm and your room is not available, you can deposit your luggage at the reception desk till your room is ready.
Kindly we ask you to give us a phone call if you should arrive after 10:00pm.
We will leave you then all information for a Self-Check-in at the reception desk.
Dogs are welcome in the hotel at an extra charge of CHF 20.00 per day (2 bowls will be provided / without food).
The dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room. Howewer, if you wish to bring your „Love“ with you, we can prepare a table by the bar area for you. Please mention your dog when you book your room.
